After a disappointing end to the season, the summer break—which started a bit too early—had a highlight to offer last Saturday: The 24th Fanclub Tournament was on the schedule, held, as always, at the stadium 😊
88 registrations (Come on, we could have had at least one more…)
35 fanclub teams
53 cancellations, unfortunately 🙁
38 kids in the kids’ tournament
19 fanclubs that handled the catering and/or helped out
Those are just the raw numbers; on top of that, we had a variety of visitors enjoying the perfect summer weather. A huge thank you to everyone who came out, and especially to those who contributed in any way. Without you, the tournament wouldn’t have been possible in this form—THANK YOU!
(We could have needed a few more helping hands during cleanup, though—maybe next year 😉 )
In the main field of 14 fanclubs, Astradamus 1910 prevailed this year with an 1-0 victory in the final against Darum St. Pauli, who had to settle for second place for the second year in a row. In the fun group—where there is no knockout phase—the Gecko Manicas secured the top spot in a field of 21 fanclubs with 16 points and 10:1 goals.
FLINTA St. Pauli put on the best overall performance.
